Lincoln Principal - Ernie Llanas

We, the entire staff of Lincoln Middle School, would like to welcom back all returning 7th and 8th grade students as well as our incoming 6th grade class and all transferring students.  It has been a summer of change for us at Lincoln, with Ms. Modory moving onto a position at Tremper High School and my moving into the principal's position.  Mr. Steve Jacob was selected to fill the assistant principal position.  We all hope to continue with the excellence Lincoln has come to expect from its' student body and community.

As a learning community, it is important to realize our priority for student achievement in the academic areas.  However, school can and should mean so much more to our students as well as families.  It is also of great importance to realize the value of enjoying school.  Dealing with middle school aged children, with their constant changing perspectives with daily occurrences, is a challenging task to say the least!  There needs to exist a joy, a feeling of having fun, in coming to school, in learning, and being a part of the Lincoln community.  It is my hope that we at Lincoln will provide a welcoming, engaging, challenging environment for your students and provide them with the opportunities to enjoy and have fun as they move through their middle school years.

"The joy of learning is indispensible in study as breathing is in running.  Where it is lacking there are no real students, but only poor caricatures..." (Simone Weil)
